Does
Blessed Hope Farm Beloved
DOB: 4/17/2020
Beloved is one of our two foundational herd does, and she is the herd queen! With her abundance of milk, she grows her babies fast.
She has excellent teat and orifice size for easy milking and doesn’t disappoint. She peaked at 2.6 lbs. of milk on a 12 hour fill during her 3rd lactation in 2024. She has one doeling this year, so I am milking her twice per day. At 10 days into her lactation, she is giving over 4 lbs. of milk per day.
Freedom Five Esther
DOB: 3/29/2023
Esther is shaping up to look just like her dam (Beloved) as she nears her second freshening. She did excellent during her first lactation milk-sharing with her two doelings for 12 hrs per day and getting milked once per day after a 12 hr separation.
Freedom Five Lucy
DOB: 3/29/2023
Lucy was my favorite goat to milk last year. She has a wonderful udder texture and nice sized teats for easy milkout. She only had a singleton doeling, so her production wasn’t quite as high as her littermate sister’s (Esther). But she’s set to kid on or around May 4th this year, so I am eager to see what her second lactation will bring for production!
Bucks
Blessed Hope Farm Barnabas
DOB: 8/6/2020
Barnabas has a lot of high milk production in his pedigree. We’re excited to see how his progeny mature over time!
Pine River FF BD Cocoa Bean
DOB: 3/26/2022
Cocoa got his chance to breed most of our does last fall, so we look forward to seeing how many doelings we’ll get this spring to watch how the mature and start milking next year! He has a lot of well known genetics in his pedigree, so we’re optimistic that he will make some nice improvements to our herd.
